About us
Learn to listen to be able to speak
This sentence is the first of several principles that have helped define us as a community that is continually looking for ways to help our students and clients achieve their communication goals in a foreign language.
Our history
At the beginning (1999) we were a group of language instructors who followed the canons of teaching-learning. We used the best possible material and stayed at the forefront of methodologies. We managed for many to achieve their goals, from language certifications, as well as international technical certifications; Except we had a challenge: some of our students and clients were falling short of fluency, struggling to participate, and refusing to continue.
We decided to create a specialized area to find a solution to this challenge.
From extensive bibliographical research we began to gather evidence, first to identify the root of the problem, and then we began to add those solutions that would help us.
We put them into practice. Remarkably, we eradicated dropouts, raised motivation, and especially increased speaking fluency and instilled curiosity and motivation for our clients and students to learn on their own as well and not only in our presence: that is, autonomy.
We did a lot of reading to identify where the problem could be and applied techniques from various disciplines. The result is a program that includes our findings.
The best thing is that as we applied our program, users began to report benefits that we had not initially considered:
people who practiced some sport, reported better times and performance. Shy people were more outgoing in expressing their opinions. The people around them noticed a better mood and more patience... today we use the program not only for learning and training, but also to promote well-being.
